This time it was Canons Ashby, which is a Grade I listed Elizabethan manor house, which was saved by the National Trust in 1981 and is open to the general public as well as the local church. Conservation work is ongoing but there and there are some amazing features dating back to the 1700's. The guides seemed very knowledgeable and were friendly. Gardens are also very nice.
