Web26 gen 2024 · I don't think the 1650 (or any other recent GPU) supports the DVI-A standard (needed to passively convert the DVI port to VGA). You'll need to use an active adapter (probably from Displayport) or get a newer monitor (VGA image quality is horrible, IMHO). Web22 ago 2024 · I have an ACER GN246HL 144Hz monitor. It supposedly supports HDMI (from their website). However, I have an HDMI cable and it simply does not fit into the port in the monitor. The port on the monitor seems to be the same exact size as the cable. As the title states, I have some gold colored things sticking out of the port. It's support DiplayPort or DVI Port so I use 2 Cables from HDMI TO DVI and on 1 cable there is a convertor connected ath the and that change the output from DVI to Displayport. Web22 ago 2016 · DVI does not have audio. HDMI does, but DVI doesn't. If your source is a DVI there is no audio signal. Not if you follow the specifications for DVI. In my case its HDMI to my monitors DVI. The audio part of my HDMI signal goes no where. It dead ends at the HDMI to DVI adapter on my monitor. I use PC speakers so its no big deal for me.

WebYup thats probably the problem. Just take a look at your pins on the DVI cable. If there are any small pins missing its not DVI-D and if there are two pins next to the big copper prong, then it might also not be DVI-D. You can find detailed pictures of DVI cables on wikipedia. I wouldn't over complicate things untill you have tried this solution.
