It's as simple as removing the cover from the motor, moving a couple of jumpers (metal strips) and putting the cover back on the motor. Remove the circuit breaker in the saw and replace it with the 110V version. Switching over to 220v will not increase the power of the motor. If it is a 2HP motor that is what it is. The input voltage doesn't matter. You'll be drawing 12.4 amps on 120 and 6.2 on 220, but that is on 2 legs so you double it anyway and you still draw the same current. coly troarn

Therefore you need a switch which opens both legs. A switch for 110 would only open one leg. WebJan 25, 2024 · You will have to change the switch also. 220 VAC has 2 hot switch leads. 110 VAC only has 1 hot switch lead. Also running on 220 makes the motor more efficient.
